Source by source
Brand24 has 12 source pages, all mainstream: X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, reviews, app stores. No pages for LinkedIn, Bluesky, Telegram, Quora, Stack Exchange, Product Hunt, Hacker News, Discourse, Mastodon, GitHub, or Discord, despite the llms.txt claiming coverage of several of these.
discatch covers web, news, Hacker News, Discourse forums, Stack Exchange, and GitHub today. The source lists overlap on Reddit (through the web index) and the web. Brand24’s mainstream social reach is broader today.
For an agent
Brand24 has an agent-addressed pricing.md with a "How to use this document if you are an AI agent" section, last_verified 2026-06-10. It ships an llms.txt (33 KB), an OpenAPI 3.1 spec with 22 paths, and an MCP server at mcp.brand24.com with OAuth.
The MCP server is documented only in a help-center article, not on the main domain. There is no .well-known/mcp.json and no dedicated /mcp marketing page. The API is aggregate-first with a 31-day query window and requires a dashboard-created project.
discatch’s REST API and trial keys work today. The MCP server with OAuth is planned for phase 3. Push wakes an agent; Brand24 does not push to agents.
What Brand24 does not have
- No per-call or usage pricing. Everything is tier-gated by keywords and monthly mention quota.
- No dedicated /mcp page on the main domain. The MCP server is documented only in the help center.
- No pages for Hacker News, Discourse, Bluesky, Mastodon, GitHub, Stack Overflow, or Product Hunt, despite llms.txt naming several.
- No "A vs B" comparison pages. Only alternatives listicles.
- No /about page (404 on 2026-09-10). Company address is in the pricing footer.
- The homepage has no JSON-LD.
- API is a paid add-on that costs $99 or $149/mo depending on which Brand24 page you read.
